Chase County Old School Development District - Emporia Community Foundation Match Day 20024 (youtube.com)

The Old School, CCOSDD, was honored to be chosen to vie for Emporia Community Foundation's Match Day, where donations are proportionately matched with ECF funds. Due to video editing, some information we would like all to know was cut: The apartments in the 1903 building are set to be occupied by Jan., 2025. A portion of the community building does have new heat and air, but not the actual gymnasium. The board is all volunteers with no paid employees. Since purchase 4 years ago, the center has been actively used for 3 Haunted Houses, 4 Car Shows, 7 1K/5K Runs, 4 Christmas events, art classes, youth nights, auctions, open houses, regular Pitch Card parties, twice weekly pickleball, and numerous rentals for birthdays, reunions, and family gatherings.

We love to give tours and answer questions and welcome visitors to our monthly board meetings. We want all to feel comfortable that their donations are being used wisely. Please contact Lee Anne 620-340-9634 with questions about donations, only accepted for Match Day on Nov. 18 with checks or credit donations made to ECF and designated to CCOSDD. Thank you for considering us in your donation planning.

We are honored to be selected to participate in the

Emporia Community Foundation's 2024 Match Day.

Award amounts are based on the amount donated to each qualifying organization. The more that is designated for CCOSDD, the larger the percentage of matching funds we receive. There are multiple ways to donate through EFC.

              1. Make your check payable to EFC. Date it between Oct.                                         7 & Nov. 18, 2024. Earmark it for CCOSDD. Mail it to:

CCOSDD PO Box 66 Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.

               2. Go to the ECF website emporiamatchday.com any time from 12:01                           a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Monday, November 18, and make your donation.

                3. Take your donation on Monday, Nov. 18, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. to                            the ECF drive thru at 527 Commercial St. Ste B Emporia, KS 66801,                            being sure to designated CCOSDD as the recipient.
